Regulating & Promoting
Zambia's
Tobacco Industry
The Tobacco Board of Zambia (TBZ) is a statutory body established under the Tobacco Act, Act No. 10 of 2022. We regulate, promote, and facilitate the production, processing, and trade of tobacco in Zambia to ensure a sustainable, transparent, and profitable industry.
Our mandate includes controlling and regulating tobacco production, marketing, and export, conducting research and extension services, and supporting over 45,000 Growers across Zambia through training, advisory services, and the Out-Grower Scheme Fund.
Since 1964, TBZ has been the custodian of tobacco assets and regulations, ensuring quality standards and fair practices across the value chain. We remain committed to making tobacco one of the major sustainable contributors to Zambia's economic development.
